I have gotten interested in some new projects that are fun and creative. Have you heard of Row Houses? I haven not until last month. Below are pictures of the second ones that I have made. Somehow I forgot to take a picture of the first ones. They are pretty quick to make and fun at the same time. I made these for a swap that i was in. If you click on my flickr photo stream at the bottom of the page you will see some more of the cards I have been busy making. Spring is on it's way and I enjoyed using it as a theme on this row house.

Fun Times
Wow it has been longer than I thought. I have had fun creating, swapping, and recently hiking and biking with my boys. Work is going well and keeping me very busy. Below is a spinner card that I had fun making for a friend. I had not made one of these in a long time. The boys and I camped in Colebrook with the boy scouts and then biked 25 miles on the bike trials in Simsbury. It felt so good to be in the outdoors without any electronics.

New Layout tried
Well today I tried some digi scrapping. Here is a layout that I made. It took awhile but was fun. Yesterday I went to a day crop for about 4 hrs and completed 6 layouts with traditional scrapping. I was with some very nice ladies and we had a good time.
We had lunch over my mother's which was very nice. We don't usually get to do that so it was a nice treat. I cannot believe how much it is snowing outside today. For just having "flurries" we must of received at least an inch.

This last week I have had some decent mojo going. I didn't get to work on my counters like I wanted to, but the kids and I went to the movies to see "The Princess and the Frog" one day and I scrapped a bit on each dayHere are some of the ATC's that I made the first set I made for a swap on swap-bot and the second picture are ones that I made for a swap on SSD. I used one if Tim Holtz's techniques on the Peace ATC The snowman ATC is using a digi stamp from CuddlyBuddy Crafts.

New Year New Focus

Well the boys are back to school and it has been a busy month. I went to a weekend crop with some friends and completed another 30 pages bringing Vincent's book up to date. I then worked on a few projects that next friday night with another friend.
We poured a concrete countertop in our kitchen. We have a few issues with it, but I am hoping they all work out ok. Vincent seems to have the most confidence in the project. We worked hard on the pour and now it is a wait and see game. I wanted to follow with doing one in my bathroom but I am not sure now. My hope is to have a kitchen back by the end of October. I am getting tired of quick meals on the grill.
There is a lot going on at work making it stressful and hard to concentrate at times. I am not hitting my crafts enough at home to relax. Working space it tight right now.

Busy Month
Wow August has been a busy month so far.
I have been wanting a new countertop in my kitchen since I will not be expanding it. I have done alot of research on them and I have decided to have one out of concrete. I have spent the last two week pouring samples to get the color and look that I want. I am up to 12 samples so far. There is one that I definately don't want to use. The color is so bad. I have decided to try to marble two colors together and to try a white sand. I do not like the gray sand showing through. If all goes well I will be pouring it next weekend.
School starts soon for the boys so time has been spent getting them ready.
This weekend we had our yearly department picnic and it was a good time again. It is always a nice was to get together with co-workers and it not having to do with work.
Today was way to hot for me. It is suppose to be really hot for the next few days. I have not done much scrapbooking lately but I have to get back into the grove.
