Vacation

I am now into my first complete week of vacation with my children over this Christmas break from school. We went from cold and snow right before Christmas to most of the snow being gone by today. I have enjoyed getting up late, lounging in my pj's, and just relaxing. The boys went skating yesterday and had a great time. Today will be Chinese for lunch and tomorrow we will end the year with them skiing. I of course left my camera at my nephews Sunday so I am unable to take any pictures of these events this week.

Talking about Sunday.......We had a family Christmas party and it was fun just watching the kids interact. The 2 1/2 year old was climbing all over the 16 year old. Vincent took it for about 1/2 hour and then said he had enough. Of course all of this is on my camera still at my nephews.. ugh.

I have tried a new (new to me) technique of stamping in white pigment ink and then coloring it with colored pencils. I like the way it came out.

First Snow

Well we received our first snow storm of the season. We received a good size dump of snow. I am officially done with my Christmas shopping today. Now to finish my Christmas Cards.

I joined a postcard swap for the first time. I hope they came out well enough for the swap. I had never made one before. They can be pretty fun to do. Here is mine with our first snow as of yesterday afternoon.

Scrapbook Circus

Wow it has been a long time since I have been on to write. Work has been crazy and between that and scoutting with my son's there has not been much time for scapping. Hopefully work has settled enough for sometime to have fun.
I just finished a freeze out from the weekend with on of my boys. It was pretty cold (in the low 20's at night) but we all faired well. The boys cooked for the adults and did all of the cleaning.
I did complete a layout using a free download kit from scrapbook circus at http://www.thatsscrapinc.com. At first this was hard for two reasons, 1 I hadn't scrapped a layout in awhile 2 I don't have the pictures to go on it.

April 19th

Hi all today is April 19th the openning day here for fishing. Well I spent 4 hrs with two of my boys fishing this am. They really enjoyed themselves and were real excited as they got hits on their polls. Earlier this week I took the boys to the Bronx zoo of which none of us were thrilled. I had also taken them to Mystic seaport there in Connecticut of which they liked and want to go back to again. They spent the rest of the week with their aunt of which they really enjoy doing.
I have not been around much do to work, but I think that will change now. Last weekend I spent most of the weekend working on the gardens to get them ready to mulch. What a job but the outcome is worth it.
I will be posting more work hopefully tomorrow. I have been able to do a few new techniques and I really like their outcome. Pat on SSSD is running this monthly swap and it is alot of fun. I want to get caugth up on my weekly "Deck of me" and also work on making more pages of the current books that I am working on. Scrapping has pretty much taken a back door to work and life since I came back from Florida. I have been just to tired to do it.

From Sunny Florida

I am writing from Sunny Florida. I have been so busy since I last wrote, my middle son has crossed over to boy scouts and is enjoying it. It took me all last weekend to get his uniform changed from cub scouts to boy scouts. He has had his first meeting an it seems to have gone well. We head to NH in the begining of March and we go to a freeze out next weekend.
In addition this past week I had a cub scout meeting, finished up and mailed all the swaps that are due in Feb., I made scrapbooking kits to take on vacation, and worked late a few nights to get everything set at work for while I was gone.
We landed in Florida last night after spending the whole day between airports and plane rides. Today the boys enjoyed the pool and I took out one of my scrapbooking kits to find that I brought and empty adhesive container. Ugh. Well that means I just needs to find a scrapbooking store here in Orlando. Not so bad after all. I am a bit behind on my "deck of me" but I brought my book of the month calender and I hope to journal in it everyday.

Crazy Time

Well I cannot believe how time has flown. Work as been completely nuts and I have been everywhere from stessed to depressed. I had to go to Mass. for work on Thursday to see a new system. It is peach but I am not sure I am ready to be the project manager on it. I was able to do 28 out of 31 layouts for LOAD. It was a great class I just hit three days at the end that I wanted nothing to do with scrapping. I am thankfully out of that slump now.

As far as "Deck of Me" I am one week behind but I hope to be caught up tomorrow. I will post pictures then also. I was able to scrap a few hrs today and I made some ATC's for a swap, finished my "Family and Me" swap layouts except for journalling, I did week 4 in "Deck of Me" and I got a family layout done. I hope to spend tomorrow scrapping and getting a circle journal and some other swaps done. I like doing swaps as I can get alot of ideas and I also can use some as embellishments on my pages.

Today was beautiful outside for a winter day in the North East. I even cooked lunch out on the grill. I think my husband thought I was nuts. It was almost warm enough for a light jacket. Spring couldn't come soon enough. Yesterday we had a couple of inches of rain. I am glad it was not snow.

Well it is time for bed. I hope everyone has a happy scrappy weekend. Enjoy the superbowl.

What a day

Today was a busy day at work. We are starting a research project and also a new time clock system. I was able to train some of the staff on the new timeclocks and they are unhappy even though they know it is coming.

The scary thing I had to do today was make a second database for our scoring system so that we could do our QA studies. Boy if I hit one wrong key we were done in for and of course someone had to come into the office wanting something. The last meeting of the day involved dinner so that was nice. The day was filled with meetings and here are home Alfredo was having issues with his allergies. The poor kid is crouping around and is congested. He hates taking caugh medicine but today is agreeable to it. He also doesn't like to bring attention to himself so it was an issue this morning because whenever anyone looked at him to make sure he was ok he had an attitude. Nice way for him to spend a vacation day home from school.

I have finsihed my layout for tonight in time to upload it into the LOAD gallery. I need to check Dianna's blog before bed to get the information on this week's card. Talk to you all later.

Hi Everyone

I would like to welcome you to my blog.

I am currently doing the LOAD for the month of January with Lain and " A Deck of Me with Dianna. Both of these are alot of fun and getting me to take some me time. Along with these I belong to a few online scrapping groups of which I am involved with some swaps.

It is cold here in the Northeast but we have had little snow. We have had just enough to make the roads tough on some mornings. We have hit below freezing many nights which prevents me from allowing my boys to go out early before the bus in the am. It is much to cold outside for me.

This weekend we have a relaxing weekend which is good after the crazy week that I had at work. We are updating systems and it is alot of work but fun. Well I am off to do some more scrapping.
